With the first pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Clippers select Mahmoud Ahmadinejad…from the University of IRAN

So the NBA draft is coming up this THURSDAY.

Lets review some of the DRAFT and some thoughts on this. The Clippers get the #1 pick and what is probably arguably the only “sure thing” in this draft..that’s for sure. The rest of the guys have question marks and can fall 5 slots or so, depending on last minute maneuvering.

#1 LA CLIPPERS- Blake Griffin? Does he make Zach Randolph trade bait? I don’t think so. You’re not going to get alot from Zach right now, but who cares. He can score and board. If Blake Griffin is a flake, then maybe its good insurance policy. The Clippers will be better, believe this man. They were injured as fuck last year, but should be ready to roll it up. Only concern I have is B-Diddy, who is chronically injured…but with Kaman-Camby-ZBO-Griffin, that’s a pretty good fucking front court….they need to try to trade and get some more help at the wings, I would consider trading Thornton for another young prospect

#2 Memphis Jizzlies. that’s right, fuck you Memphis Grizz. You guys suck ass, and now every fucking prospect doesn’t want to play for your cheap fuckface owner, Michael Heisley and Chris Wallace. I’m thinking they either fuck this up by picking someone like DeMar DeRozan or trade the pick. Thabeet and Rubio didn’t want to work out with them. Instant Karma bitches. They’re going to fuck this pick up, guaranteed. Maybe they’ll get Jennings or DeRozan and answer the question of what a starting backcourt of Ricky Davis’ looks like.

#3 Oklahoma City Sonics. I hate this team too. stupid hicks. Who cares what they do. They have that young GM Presti who’s pretty sharp so I say they’ll probably make a nice pick…maybe Rubio..but again, they suck..but I still think Rubio gets picked, then sits in Italy another year and they get to pick in the top 5 again next year.

As far as my team, the Portland Trailblazers…I say pick the best available big man if we’re keeping the pick. If we’re not, then get Stephen Curry or Lawson.

Olympus Tough 6000 @ Amazon.com

This is a 10-megapixel waterproof camera I got the other day. It basically replaces my Olympus 850SW which is a waterproof 8MP camera..that…I basically abused the hell out of until it broke while in Hawaii. I think what happened was that I got sand in it somehow, which didn’t let me seal off the waterproof components so well. Oh well, I had a lot of good times with that camera..time to replace with another one.

I haven’t had a lot of opportunity to test it out but it took “ok” pictures. Low level pictures were atrcious though and it had a hard time focusing right. I might actually end up buying a Canon Digital Camera

Canon PowerShot SD780IS

which is really really really small and takes HD video (replaces my CRAPPY Flip Mino HD camera which is currently getting warranty service before I chuck it on the 10 freeway). The problem that I have aside from the poor night shots (which I would like to take more of) is the size of the Olympus…while small, its not exactly the smallest thing in the world…I’ll save it for the beach, pool parties and outdoor adventures…while the Canon will be more of a camera I take around with me everyday to take pics of everything under the sun (and moon).
