I was in Little Saigon for some Vietnamese food the other day. This was a tasty little dish…a spring roll but it had some pork sausage in it…the dipping sauce was a bit weird though. Kind of a peanut type of sauce…with some hot sauce it was really good though.

Kind of trying a bunch of different fish at once….had some sushi last night, with some sake and some japanese beers. I need to do this more often.

Ramen is one of the great underrated foods around. With so much focus on “Pho”, I submit to you that Ramen is an overall better experience. The depth of the broth is so much better, as are the (hopefully) handcut noodles. The pork is much better than fish balls/tripe/or what not. Maybe Ramen gets a bad name from Maruchan Instant Noodles?

In summary: Japanese Noodle Soup > Vietnamese Noodle Soup

I am thinking they are primed to making a comback. A throwback to the 80s…before Iced Teas and Iced Mochas were all the rage, we had the Italian Soda. Torani Syrup x Soda water. Add some creamer to the drink and it becomes a French Soda.

The Adidas Original store hired some storm troopers the other day to promote their Star Wars line. I found the line itself kind of lame to be honest….the Marc Ecko Hoodies are way cooler (even though Ecko is a tremendo douche bag).
